First post since last summer? YES!

Not that I have anything interesting to say, ever, but I'm too lazy to find my journal and this will do instead.

Unfortunately for my blogging purposes, summer is nearly over and although it has been moderately eventful, mostly it's been me stumbling through becoming an adult, dealing with my difficulties and bad decisions and making too many plans to begin to make good decisions.
Aside from all the mistakes I have made, I have reignited my wonderful friendship with Grant Gaither, saw one of the best movies of my life (for the second time tonight) got closer to an acquaintance (still not sure how that's going to work...) GOT A JOB! and learned to love my life even more (if possible.)

I'm going to ASU this fall... Downtown Taylor Place, here I come!
The campus is beautiful, and I'm pretty excited despite my disappointment of not being able to leave everything here behind and start perfectly new. My roommate is pretty awesome- her name is Alisa and she is Russian and I can already tell that it's going to be a wonderful year.

All the things-people? person- I can't get out of my head seem to be getting old, but that might just be my current mood. I'm really excited to begin life anew and finally get out of MESA!

I'm going to Payson this week to hang with my family and Kate and then California for a few days with Grant and then... whatever else. John Mayer, Tom Petty and a couple other shows?
Oh, and my new MAC BOOK PRO! :)

As uneventful as my life can occasionally be, I have a feeling the rest of 2010 will be perfectly exciting. For now, NO studying, thinking or obsessing. I have seriously got to relax and let go.

Sometimes

you just have to get the nerve to do something important.

Let's hope inspiration for that sometimes comes soon.

I'm ready for something new, and I can feel it coming.

Summer

My family has spent most of the summer at a house in Payson, Arizona to escape the extreme Valley heat! Heres some of how our time has been spent...

GiGi and I drove up to the Mogillion Rim and enjoyed a beautiful sunset and a nerve wrecking ride home on mountain roads!

My mom and I went to the Tonto Natural Bridge and picked wild blackberries there. We came home (arms torn up from the spines on the bushes!) and made beautiful blackberry pies, which were absolutely delicious!

We also went to Zane Grey's Cabin which is now a museum. We met the cutest old man and learned way more than we expected! I'm going to now read allll of his novels and follow his trails up north!

Good News, Bad News.

So I went and spent the night at Canyons and we had a good time, got up in the morning and went to Waffle House and got breakfast, and went home and showered. Then the next day (or some time after... my days blur together during summer) went with Megan, Sahil, Amanda, Aaron, Anna and Sahil's cousin Christian to Oreganos and had dinner then went back to Sahil's and played scattergories, which was surprisingly fun.

Today I found out that I'm officially going to SanDiego! Which is awesome because I miss the beach and I'll need something to do while Grant is in Greece.

The beginnings of summerrr!

So I'll recap:

I am now DONE with junior year and am officially a senior in high school! one more year to live through!

anyway, last day of school I went to graduation (not all that fun...) it was wet, again.

and then went to a party. (also not that fun)

the next day I looked at houses with my mom, went with Shelby to Quinn's for a LOTR marathon and had a good time. Went to Ashwin's party, ate a bunch of indian food, came home and slept because I was extremely tired and grouchy.

then I spent time by the pool and went to my aunts and went bowling with the family..

THEN... I snuck out and went to Grant's house and talked to him until like 5 in the morning. snuck back inside and fell asleep.

slept till 3:00 and ate and THENNN!!!! saw PlayRadioPlay!! live. Which was fucking amazing!!

he. is. amazing.

and now I'm home. What will tomorrow bring?

check them out if you don't know about them, because they deserve it.
also: look for Madi, Don't Leave and Decipher Reflections From Reality!

k, done.

Awesome Discovery!

So after looking for hours for new music I came across some amazing covers including Electric Feel (MGMT) by Katy Perry! It's surprisingly fantastic as is Everywhere (Fleetwood Mac) by Vampire Weekend!

Just thought I would share the music wealth.
